1. Explain theories, concepts and models of management and leadership in public health and community-based initiatives locally, nationally and internationally.
2. Analyze the historical development of the social economy and the contemporary scope for innovation and enterprise. 3. Critically discuss external factors such as the economy, legislation, policy, globalization, and how these impact on services within public health. In your case study, YOU ARE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE an overview of the organization including its vision, mission, aims, and beneficiaries. In relation to this, you are required to consider THE FOLLOWING: 1. What theories, concepts and models of management and leadership are used/appropriate for your chosen organization? – Draw out an element of comparison between your chosen (local) organization and one other international organization such as the NSPCC, Oxfam, The Red Cross, or Amnesty International etc. and focus on whether the management and leadership styles are universal or are they more contextual to the size and nature of the organization? – Critically reflect on the personal qualities required for effective leadership.
