Select a movie from one of the two websites. After selecting a movie, a 3-4 page movie critique should focus on the accuracy, effectiveness, and usefulness of the movie’s portrayal of the American legal process. It should apply the the material from the textbook: Judicial Process in America- 10th Edition by Robert A. Carp to the movie (and vice versa). Topics covered: the foundations of the law in the United States, the Federal Judicial System, State Judicial Systems, Jurisdiction and Policymaking Boundaries, State Judges, Federal Judges, Policy Links among the Citizenry, Lawyer, Litigants, Criminal Trail, Civil Court Process, and decision making by trial court judges. I will upload pictures of subtopics that could be used as well.
