Develop an Individual Job Skill Profile for yourself:
a) First, identify the type of job you’re seeking — either find a job description online or use the job description from your
current job. See this week’s NEWS section for help finding a job description.
b) Next, type up a list of the KSAs – knowledge, skills and abilities/experience – required for the job.
c) Then evaluate the KSAs, identifying and qualifying (how many years. expert level knowledge) those KSAs you have
and noting the ones you don’t nave.
d) Finally, add any other KSAs you’ve acquired through work or volunteer experiences.
