Craft a 5-page essay analyzing Morrison’s speech. Write the paper on the this artifact, using either the Cluster method, the Metaphor method, or at least two (2) of the classic canons (invention, organization, style, memory, and delivery) of the Neo-Aristotelian method.

- For the Neo-Aristotelian method, Foss tells us that “[t]he research question asked about artifacts in Neo-Aristotelian criticism is: Did the rhetor use the available means of persuasion to evoke the intended response from the audience” (2018).
- For the Cluster method, insight can “suggest questions about…the strategies that are used to accomplish particular objectives, the kinds of meaning that are being communicated, or the implications of particular constructions of meaning for rhetorical processes or public controversies”
- For the Metaphor method, this will depend on whether or not you are focusing on the tenor or the vehicle.
- According to Foss, “[i]f you are featuring a particular tenor and are interested in the vehicles used to describe the tenor, your question would be about the tenor or topic and the implications of the selection of the particular vehicles for the rhetor’s worldview” (2018).
- Or, “[i]f your analysis features the vehicles used by a rhetor to discuss many different tenors or topics, your research question would be about the implications of constructing a world as the rhetor has done for the rhetor, the audience, or a public controversy” (Foss, 2018)
