Summary of the article + find an article which reports findings of an experiment examining one of the cognitive functions and write short summary. Detailed instructions attached.

1. Read Murman’s (2015) article on The Impact of Age on Cognition. Then, write a brief summary of the main points of the ‘Changes in Cognition with Normal Ageing’ and ‘Age-Related Changes in Brain Structure and Function’ sections.
2. Locate ONE academic journal article published after 2005, which reports findings of an experiment examining one of the cognitive functions (attention, memory, executive function, language, visuospatial abilities) that decline with normal ageing. Write a short summary of this newly found article. You might find the Google Scholar search engine useful for locating this new article.
3. Ensure that you include in-text citations (where appropriate) and a reference list.
200-250 words

Summary should be accurate and concise.
• Ensure you choose a primary research article to summarise in your post (not a review article). Some clues for what type of article you are looking at may be:
o Review article – Journal name (eg. says ‘review’ in the title), only 1 to 3 authors, concise title that sounds like an overview, missing a ‘Materials and Methods’ section (although some review papers do have these sections). A review article will summarise a collection of other articles.
o Primary research article – usually has lots of authors (normally research requires collaboration between more than 3 people), the materials and methods section that describes how an experiment was done, and the ‘findings’ will be something that is new.
