traditional assessment that you completed in Week 2.
Include the following components:
An authentic assessment description
Step-by-step instructions that learners must follow to complete the assessment
An original rubric created to evaluate the learners’ performance on each step of the assessment; the rubric
may be developed as a Microsoft® Word document or from a rubric generator website of your choice.
A summary of how an authentic assessment differs from a traditional assessment, and how each can improve
instructional practices and learning
Submit your authentic assessment, description, rubric, and summary.
Option 2: Effective Assessment Techniques
Research the Internet or University Library about the benefits and challenges of authentic and traditional
Write a minimum 1,225-word paper that compares and contrasts a traditional assessment with an authentic
assessment, and how these assessments improve instructional practices and student learning.
Format your paper to adhere to APA guidelines, and include references.
