Carefully read the scenario to ensure understanding of all aspects of the situation presented.
Propose how the situation described in the scenario could be managed or resolved. This must include some type of collaborative consultation for at least a part of the resolution.
Address the following topics in the proposal:
The type of collaborative support needed to best meet student and teacher needs (i.e., direct, indirect)
The model of collaborative consultation recommended
Description of the team “players” (i.e., who will be part of the team formed to best meet the student needs?)
Any projected difficulties that may arise resulting from your proposed solution
Include a rationale for your proposal, and include reference material to thoroughly document your choices.
Complete a 2 to 3 page paper (not including the cover and References pages) using APA (6th ed.) format to document the proposal.

The speech pathologist has been asked by the gifted program facilitator to consult
with her regarding a highly gifted child who has minor speech problems and some
behaviors suggesting mild autism spectrum disorder. The child is being pressured
by his parents and kindergarten teacher to “stop the baby talk.” He is becoming
very nervous and at times withdraws from conversation and play.
What suggestions would you make to improve the outcome of all involved in this
