1. Meet clinical instructor at the IPE Simulation Center by your scheduled start time
    dressed in uniform following the Kettering College Nursing Student dress code.
  2. Actively participate in the simulation experience and debriefing.
  3. Write a 3-4 page paper (excluding title and reference pages; using APA format) reflecting on
    the experience that demonstrates critical thinking in addressing the following:
    a. Describe how your team used inter-professional communication and collaborative
    skills to optimize patient outcomes. Provide a specific example experienced during the simulation experience. Use an appropriate and professional literature
    resource to support your discussion.
    b. Describe how professionalism and Christian care was utilized during the simulation
    experience. Provide a specific example experienced during the simulation experience. Use an appropriate and professional literature resource to support your
    discussion.
    c. Describe how the simulation experience will influence your nursing practice in
    relation to teamwork, communication, and delegation.
    d. Choose one patient that you think was the highest priority. Explain why the patient is
    priority over the other patients. Identify the nursing interventions you implemented
    for the chosen patient and explain the rationale for each intervention. Use an
    appropriate and professional literature resource to support your discussion.
    e. Describe how you utilized your areas of strength during the simulation.
    f. Describe how you will strengthen your areas of weakness.
    g. If you could repeat this experience, what would you do different? Why?
  4. Submit your paper as a Word document (.doc or .docx) in Canvas within 1 week of
    participating in the Cox Simulation.

*You must attend the Cox Simulation at your scheduled time. There is no opportunity to make up the experience. If you do not attend the Cox Simulation, you cannot complete this assignment.
