Reflect on the organization discussed in the attached materials. Identify an area of change that would improve employee and business performance. There are a variety of reasons that drive organizational change, such as improving employee performance or adapting to a competitive threat. For example, an organization may decide to convert from a functional department structure to a product/service based one. Or, they may decide to add/eliminate a product or service. Another change may be moving from a hierarchical structure to more of a team-based one. Be substantive and clear, and use examples to reinforce your ideas. Apply one model (Lewin’s, Kotter’s, or one you use in your workplace) for managing organization change. Explain how you would use the change model to structure and manage the change. Discuss possible employee resistance to the change and how you can overcome that resistance to create a vision of change.
