Choose a country around the world, other than the United States,
and identify cybersecurity laws and regulations.
Objective: Student should write a paper identifying the current state of cybercrime, cyber warfare, cyber
laws, regulations, and policy.
Structure of the Paper:
Title Page: Include a separate title page with the topic title and team member names.
Table of Contents
Executive Summary: One or two paragraphs on a page by itself that provide a rapid overview of the issue
and any conclusions or results you have obtained. Write this section AFTER you have finished the entire
paper, then insert it at the beginning of the paper.
Main Body(titled according to your topic): In-depth discussion of the issues surrounding your topic. Must
include the following required sections (you may also have subsections if the topic is complex):
Introduction: one or two paragraphs to introduce the issue and explain what will be covered in this report.
(Main body): Your section names may vary in the body, but you should be covering all of these essential
areas:
An executive summary outlining the issue(s)
Global Cybersecurity threats: attack types
Countermeasures and mitigation approaches
The current state of cybersecurity regulatory issues: outline specific cybersecurity policies, laws, and regulations
Conclusion: summarize your research.
References:
List all research references in APA style on a separate page. Include web links to articles where
appropriate.
Must have at least 5 separate references for research sources. Sources must be reputable journals and
information sources (NO blogs, forum posts, Wikipedia, about.com, howstuffworks.com, Yahoo answers,
WikiAnswers, or similar – if in doubt, send the link to the instructor for guidance). Multiple pages from the
same web site count as only one source.
No direct quotes may be used. Cite your sources for the ideas you are using, but write everything in your
own words. Turnitin will be used by the instructor.
Students must cite credible sources to support your work and may ONLY have up to 20% of its content
quoted from another source. Work should be properly cited.
