Direct : means doing a very nice looking filling on a front tooth – this is done by the dentist directly when patient is in chair
indirect: means shaving tooth down, taking an impression, sending impression to lab, and they make an aesthetic veneer using porcelain laminate – this is then sent to the dentist to be glued in on patient’s tooth/teeth.
