Development plans

Development plans are critically important to organizations. A tenured accountant of 15 years approaches you about wanting to advance within the company. They have been in the same position for 15 years and witnessed many others be promoted. Some of the individuals promoted are associates this tenured accountant has trained. You seek feedback from the Director of Accounting and they stated, “the associate is an excellent accountant – they have not missed a day or deadline in 15 years and there is not any reason to doubt the quality of their work but the supervisor just does not see them in a supervisory capacity…..” Outline 5 areas of focus and create an Individual Develop Plan recommendation for this associate.
