The federal election will be in full swing throughout this course. There is ample opportunity for you to experience first hand what it’s like in a local campaign. If you are so inclined, you can volunteer two hours of your time to whatever local campaign you want. Knock on doors, make phone calls, drop literature, help at a meet and greet…whatever a campaign might need an enthusiastic volunteer to do. Make mental observations as you engage in the campaigning experience; was it what you thought it would be like? Better? Worse? Who did you meet? What was the response of voters? What have you learned in this course that helped shape the experience?
