1. What training will your school provide on safety this year? Anything new? Training is provided on a yearly basis. It’s usually a refresher course and any new information is provided during the training.
2. If there are facility needs relating to safety, what is expected to be done? And when? The information is reported by staff to the office and the office secretary enters a maintenance request for repairs. The maintenance department will issue the repair request/work order ticket to the corresponding maintenance person. Repairs are completed on a first come/first serve basis or according to the degree of safety needed. If safety is a security issue, the district’s Security Director will be notified and he will respond accordingly.
3. Does the principal have control of their school’s repair budget or is this a central office responsibility? Central Office sets the budget.
4. Are there issues with staffing that put safety at risk? There are no issues with staff. We are fully staff at the moment.
