• “The Condition of England,” by Thomas Carlyle (pp. 1036-1040)
• “Good News About Poverty,” by David Brooks
• “The White-Collar Blues,” by Bob Herbert
For each, synthesize what you have learned about the impact of dramatic economic change, first in Victorian England and then in today’s world. Then, based on your syntheses , compare the role of industrialization in Victorian England with that of globalization in today’s world. Use the facts expressed in the comentaries and editorials as the basis for your comparison.

Follow these steps:
