The annotated bibliography should include at least six citations and annotations. At least three sources must
be scholarly peer-reviewed sources; however, the remainder may be a mixture of
scholarly, trade, and/or popular sources. The selection of sources should display an awareness of the ongoing
conversation surrounding your chosen topic.

  • Correctly implement a citation style fitting for your field of study (MLA, APA, IEEE, etc)
  • Annotations should be at least 150 words long each
  • Consistent use of academic tone and language
    • Each annotation should address:
  1. the main argument/central claim of the source
  2. how the author supports that claim
  3. the rhetorical situation, particularly the source’s purpose and audience
  4. how the source contributes to your knowledge of the problem you wish to explore in your literature review.
