Laozi Daodejing have had a fundamental impact on the formation and development of the “Korean” mind in history for nearly two thousand years, although none of them was composed by Korean religious master or philosopher. The reception and influence of these texts in Korean soil, however, exemplify how pre-modern Koreans had actively interacted with the outside worlds, not confining itself to the Korean Peninsula.
