1. Serve someone with a real need who is disenfranchised or marginalized in our society (2-3 hours)
2. Write a summary of the service: who, what, why, where, when? Please provide signature of verification (turn in).
3. According to Fr. Rolheiser’s explanation, you were the body of Christ to those you served. Explain the Incarnation moments you had in your service work. Be sure to identify: how you were the body of Christ to another member of the body of Christ, sarx, reconciliation/healing, and guidance. You are expected to use correct terminology from the units, and offer a supporting quote (include page number) from the Holy Longing chapters. Please review chapters 4 & 5 from The Holy Longing, and the guided worksheet, before completing.
4. Through this service work how did YOU experience Christ (love of Christ) in return? How did the Body of Christ touch you spiritually from your service work? Again, be sure to review chapters 4 & 5 from The Holy Longing, and the guided worksheet, before completing. Offer a supporting quote and use correct terminology from the unit.
5. Write a prayer in response of your service work for those you served and your awareness as a result.
