Some tips:
1: Make an argument. A question to ask yourself, what makes it significant? I left this word/idea a little
vague to encourage you all to think about impact. Is something significant because of its historical
memory? Is something significant because it continues to affect public policy? Is it significant because it
changed the United States for the better, like for example, the end of slavery? As you can see there are
many approaches.
