We are writing a marketing plan for the product of our made-up company, and I should write the Industry Analysis and Competitor Analysis for our marketing plan. Our professor wants us to come up with a service or product that not exist and feasible to do.

Our product is a coffee extraction candy that can be consumed in two ways. Customer can simply put in your mouth and chew it, or drop it in a bottle and mix with water then drink it. And customers can feel more energetic in both ways, since there is caffeine within the candy. This candy is made for people who like candy and need more energy to focus on their work.

Industry Analysis
The industry analysis section should provide the backdrop for a more detailed analysis of the competition, the company, and the customer. An in-depth analysis will give both internal and external readers of the plan confidence in the company’s ability to understand its own industry.

Competitor Analysis
An effective analysis of the competition should demonstrate that the company has a realistic understanding of its major competitors and their marketing strategies. As in with the industry analysis, a realistic assessment makes readers feel confident that the marketing actions in the plan are well grounded.
