For this paper, you will write about one particular instance where chemistry has played a major role. For
example, you may choose to write about Watson and Crick’s discovery of DNA. Or, you may choose to
write about Max Perutz and the first crystal structure of hemoglobin. You can take a historical approach and write about unethical (but at the time justified) experimentation by Nazi Germany or the production of HeLa cells.
You can choose to go nuclear and talk about the Manhattan Project and the development of the atom
bomb.
These are, of course, only a handful examples of what you may choose; but, you may only choose ONE
topic.
Otherwise, the paper becomes too broad. Rough guidelines for writing a review paper are included below.
