Autism Spectrum. The artifact should focus on either (a)his want to rush through work

washing his hands in the bathroom so he can be the first one in line .

entries on his chromebook. James now begins typing on his own each morning, so long as he

Why is prompt fading so important to progress towards independence? - It is hard for Owen to learn multi step procedures for a single task both at school and in
daily living. At home his parents have struggled in teaching him all of the steps in properly
brushing his teeth. His parents have listed each step of how to brush his teeth, on the bathroom
mirror. The steps move forward from getting out the toothpaste and toothbrush to putting them
away.
This example of task analysis, is the parents attempt at instilling independence in their child.
