E. Investment Recommendations
Your client currently has existing investments. You will need to:
Outline the specific changes/trades to their existing portfolios. You should review
each of the investments to determine if they should continue to be held or if changes
are necessary in light of the client’s objectives and risk tolerance.
Select specific investments your client should purchase for their portfolios and back
up your recommendation with research from financial websites and/or investment
fund research providers such as Morningstar.ca or GlobeFund.com. See a listing
of considerations at the end of this document. Important Note: you are free to
choose any managed product in the Canadian investment fund universe (open-end
mutual fund, segregated fund, ETF, closed-end fund). Include supporting
information on the recommended funds in the appendix of your report. Do not
recommend portfolios with individual stocks, bonds etc
