Angels are considered positive forces of nature, hologram images or illusions. In many western views angels come in as fat cherubs, babies, handsome young men or women with a halo surrounding their heads. In Islamic doctrine, they are real created beings who will eventually suffer death, but who are generally hidden from our senses. They are neither divine nor semi-divine, nor are they associated with God in charge of administering different parts of the universe. Also, they should not be venerated or prayed, because they do not give our prayers to God. They submit to God and fulfill His commandments. In the Islamic view of things, there are no fallen angels: they are not divided into “good” and “bad” angels. Human beings do not become angels after death. Satan is not a fallen angel, but he is a creation of God different from human beings and angels. Angels were created from light before human beings were created. Its graphic or symbolic representation in Islamic art is scarce. However, they are beautiful beings with wings, as they are described in the Islamic Scriptures.
