1. What are the methods limitation? I have to write a paper critiquing the 2 methods used to prove the hypothesis that molecule of the nucleic acid is a double helix instead of triple helix.
The methods that are being critiqued are:
1. examination of the x-ray data that shows the deoxyribose nucleic acid.
2. building a 3D model of the nucleic acid.
For example for method #1, the limitation would be that the researcher would have to make several models but would not know which model is accurate and true. And for method #2, limitation is that the crystal needs to be made for crystallography.
You can google what the other limitations were BUT citations are very important!!!
2. Was it necessary to have the number of many repetitions the researchers had to make for the experiment?
3. Professionalism:
– Was credit given where credit was due? (For example, Drs. Watson, Crick and Wilkins did not mention and give credit to Dr. R. Franklin in their Nobel acceptance speech. So credit was not given where it was due)
– Did they mention other researchers in a respectful manner?
