The “nature versus nurture” debate involves the extent to which your behavior is a product of either inherited (i.e., genetic) or acquired (i.e., learned) influences. Nature is what we think of as pre-wiring and is influenced by genetic inheritance and other biological factors. Nurture is generally taken as the influence of external factors such as life experiences, your environment, and learning on an individual.

The nature-nurture debate is concerned with the relative contribution that both influences make to human behavior, such as personality, cognitive traits, temperament and psychopathology. The interviews you listened to say something about the Nature/Nurture debate

Why do you think Fallon turned out so differently from his ancestors? Is aggression/violence something that is only learned?
