1-Go to your state nurses’ association web site and identify the proposals, if any, it plans to introduce to the state legislature this year. If you do not find any proposals on your state site, identify a legislative issue presented on the national American Nurses Association web site.
2-Develop a one-page fact sheet on the issue, proposal, or law, and indicate what changes need to be made. Post an analysis of the fact sheet results and what changes need to be made to the discussion board.
3-Identify ways in which you can participate in the state nurses’ association legislative committee and get involved.
