Using the short passage by Henry David Thoreau as an example, I want you to compose a 1-page argument using the three appeals. The subject is up to you. Consider writing about something you feel strongly about. Use pathos, logos, and ethos to attempt to convince your audience to see your argument in new ways. Once you are happy with your short persuasive essay, underline or highlight the places in the essay where you used the three appeals. Make sure you label the appeals, so I know which is which.
