In an effort to promote tolerance of world religions, many criminal justice agencies provide diversity training to employees. Your assignment this week to explore an assigned religion and prepare a PowerPoint to share with your classmates. The PowerPoint must be no less than 20 slides. The purpose of the presentation is to educate others about the religion and how your assigned religion could have an impact on the criminal justice field (i.e. praying many times per day, vegetarian diet, etc.). As such, it should contain an explanation of the historical basis of the religion, statistics on members, basic tenets of the religion, and any other information that would prove helpful to a fellow CMJ colleague. Please note that because most students are familiar with Christianity it was not included in the list.
