Prescription drug misuse is one of our nation’s most significant public health problems. As Pharmacists, we are on the front lines of this issue every day. The National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP) and its partners developed an educational program for pharmacists, in video format, to assist in recognizing warning signs of prescription drug abuse and diversion. You are tasked with watching and reflecting this video. It was released in October 2014. • Access the NABP video at http://vimeo.com/95912158. • Watch the 12-and-a-half-minute video. • Reflect and write on the following questions, among others:
o What comment regarding the video would you leave on the website? o Have been in (or observed) a “critical moment” situation? o After this video, do you realize possible critical moments you may have missed? o Do you agree with the”corresponding responsibility”doctrine discussed inthevideo? Why or why not? o How useful was this video to you? Why? o What other question(s) may be pertinent to your reflection?
