production? In what ways are the relationship between acting, directing, design and
implementation for each production, similar and different? Do you see a cohesive
production? What do the similarities and differences between the production tell you
about theatre? What is significant about these similarities and differences? Based on
this, write out a statement that will become the thesis or main argument of your paper.
For example: Both Play 1 and Play 2 use symbolism in their staging and design. Play 1
uses it to demonstrate the destructive consequences of a patriarchal society while Play
2 uses symbolism to enhance the message of the play that things aren’t always what
they seem.
