Writing Prompt
Prepare an annotated bibliography containing 4-5 sources about The Maltese Falcon. All of your sources must come from one or more of the databases found on the Library’s Databases page. (http://lenoircc.libguides.com/az.php)
Of your sources, most should be categorized as Literature Criticism; however, you are permitted one source from each of the following categories if necessary:
Biography
Topic and Work Overviews
*When you search for “The Maltese Falcon”, the research databases will generate sources dealing with adaptations of The Maltese Falcon as well, such as films or plays. You do not want to use those sources. Focus only on sources directly related to the novel and Dashiell Hammett.
Grading Criteria
Grades will be based on the following information:
Proper MLA format for page design
Ability to place all sources in proper MLA format
Ability to summarize each source in a brief paragraph
MLA works cited information
Ability to select proper sources for the topic
