Imagine that your good friend has come to you. He has been thinking about the “God question” lately and is not sure what to believe. There are good arguments for both sides, and knowing that you are taking a philosophy class he is interested in knowing your thoughts on whether it is rational to believe in God.

You will write an essay in which you attempt to persuade your friend that belief in God is either rational or irrational.

Your essay should incorporate and build on the lesson material. It is OK to do further research, but you should discuss at least one of the arguments for/against God mentioned in the textbook. The goal of the essay should be to persuade your friend to change their mind and adopt the position you are defending.
