First paragraph: short introduction briefly introducing the topic of your paper (3 to 4 lines).
Second section/paragraph: What is the role that corporate culture plays in the ethics of a business,
according to John Graham? You cannot discuss every point he makes about this, but be sure to
discuss “the culture of character” and the role of the “leader”. This should be your longest
paragraph.
Third section/paragraph: What is the essence of Hewlin, Dumas, and Burnett’s critique? That is,
what are they criticizing/putting into question and, in particular, how does it apply to the
arguments Graham makes in his article? There is much empirical evidence presented and
discussed in this article—but your focus should be on the conclusions they draw from this
evidence.
Fourth paragraph (around 200 words): What are your opinions about 1) the role of corporate
culture (in particular, the culture of character and the role of the leader) in the ethics of a
business, and 2) the critique presented by Hewlin, Dumas, and Burnett? (You may write in the
first person, obviously).
