How did government sanction racist practices in this realm? Or how was public policy used to counter discrimination in the workplace? Please draw from at least two (2) course readings as you attempt to answer such questions.
3. What was the relationship between city and suburb in American history, from the mid-twentieth to the early twenty-first century? Was this relationship predominantly antagonistic, or was there a level of reciprocity present? Or. put another way, did one have to fall for the other to rise? If so, how did this process play out? Please draw from at least two (2) course readings as you attempt to answer such questions.
