Thinking like an archaeologist.

This is an exercise in thinking like an archaeologist. Specifically, do a survey.
Select some public place (such as a park, playground, main street, corner, part of campus) and describe it as if you had just arrived and it was uninhabited (like an archaeological site). Observe the space. Then describe it physically and discuss, using the evidence of what you have observed, how people have transformed the space and/or what sort of activities take place there. Remember, don’t describe actual human actions, instead to pretend that the people aren’t there, and use physical evidence to figure out what the environment is for.
