This assignment is designed to help understand the credibility of sources. Please take a look at the library website for this class, if you haven’t done so already, and then write about 300 words comparing the following articles based on your evaluation.

Lady of the Lake.pdf which can be found here.

vs

“The Lady of the Lake” — I’ve updated this link to a similar site as the previous link that was broken. This one lends itself to some discussion of audience, now.

After reviewing the websites, please find two sources of your own. One should be a secondary non-credible source (not suitable example). The other should be an academic primary source (suitable). Please then write about 300 hundred words discussing your two articles. Consider answering some of the following questions during your comparative analysis:

-What makes one more credible than the other?

-Who wrote each and why does that matter?

-Where did the information originate from for each paper? Is it always clear?

-What information is primary and what information is secondary for each source, or is either not included? In other words, what information is an original idea to the source (the writer invented the idea him or herself) and what information is borrowed from another source?

-How can you track down the original source if there is borrowed information?

-What are some aspects that allow you to quickly establish whether you can trust each source?
