This week, we discussed the Vietnam Veterans Memorial by Maya Lin. This work proved to be controversial, not least of all because the war whose dead it was memorializing was difficult to defend.
Find a reference to the Vietnam War in popular culture- a movie, a song, a book, a work of visual art, etc. Discuss in an essay of approximately 250 words how the war was viewed by the maker of that reference. If you don’t know of a Vietnam reference, a simple google search will help you.
