This essay will be analyzing the pike and Henry street photograph taken by Douglas Lavere after being influenced by Bernice Abott. Doug rated this photo as an ugly photo because he thinks comparing to the old picture Abott has taken, the picture he took currently surely looks a lot uglier (not the picture itself but the environment and architecture) and didn’t meet both of theirs expectation.
