Use specific examples from the poems to support your points. Try to write 500 words and sketch out the main ideas of your essay.
You may look at any of the poems while you are writing your essay. You may use the dictionary and a translator to look up words or phrases (not for full sentences). You may not consult any other sources. Remember to have an engaging title (that references your topic and idea), introduction, and conclusion. Each body paragraph should have a topic sentence (where you explain your opinion), at least one example from one of the poems (remember, you will get more points for examples that show that you can analyze and interpret literature rather than just tell what it says), at least one poetry term (metaphor, simile, diction, hyperbole, irony, etc). a detailed explanation of how your point connects to your example from the poem And a good wrap-up sentence. Be sure to have a strong thesis at the end of your introduction. In your conclusion, please include a discussion of how the examples from the poems helped you come to a more educated opinion about the poem.
