Watch the 1st two videos on early jazz performances and compare them to the 1992 Brecker Brothers performance. They obviously sound very different so there is a lot to talk about there, but also try and find the similarities between the old and new styles of jazz (you might want to research|[wikipedia] the breaker brothers. Things to consider, virtuosity of instrumentalists, timbres, textures, instruments/technologies, managements, and anything else you find noteworthy. Direct emphasis on comparing the old/original styles and concepts of jazz to a modem example.
