A list of issues of global concern is provided above. With a focus on Asia, select five items you deem as the most pressing issues from the list for your discussion. Research on the issues selected and discuss why they are pressing or significant (within the context of Asia). Note that your views could be in the positive light because of the opportunities created or could be negative because of the challenges posed. For instance, migration could have led to increased availability of labor for economic growth (positive) or could have led to increased population and limited resources (negative). In your discussion, also indicate or note how each issue discussed has spurred or could spur a change in any one of the four themes of this class in Asia or any part of the continent. Also briefly explain the present and likely future impact/status/perception of each issue discussed (See example below).
Please follow this below:
Start by clearly telling us the global issue you are discussing (place it and the number as a sub heading or include in bold letter in your opening sentence for each issue). Then do the following:
(1) Discuss the significance or why the issue is of interest/pressing in the continent.
(2) Clearly discuss the relevant course theme, i.e. how the issue discussed has or could spur a change in ONE theme of this course. Discuss the most relevant theme to the issue and use the exact theme words (do not manufacture yours or a variation of the theme).
(3) Clearly discuss the present and future impact/status/perception of the issue discussed (see assignment for instructions and example).
