Having done much preparation for your project, this week’s focus is dedicated to the analysis that supports your project.

Now is the time to look for paths to the puzzle solution and discover what patterns are arising in your information and how they relate to your project purpose. This step has no single strategy; so, I would like to highlight some of the key discovery steps presented in this week’s reading by Rabinovich:

Structure and Patterns
Carefully organize and arrange your data / project information
Do the straightforward things first
Identify relationship between the parts & the whole
Check for overlapping patterns
Take clues from strangeness
Consider uniqueness – only one way or many ways -Look for what IS and what IS NOT
Check for forgotten information pieces that have not yet been used.
Understand constraints / limits / scope
Provide clues – Is there something obvious to you but not others?
Keep track of all ideas for solving – you may need to come back to them.
Look for humor
