Write a paper critically evaluating the idea of spirituality without religion. There MUST be a clear thesis in the introduction and a brief summary of what the paper will argue “I will argue that….and also counter-argue that…”. Ensure that in your critique, you have at least one or two arguments that are for spirituality without religion and another one or two arguments that are against spirituality without religion. Make sure in the conclusion the reader can tell which stance you take (either for or against). For the references, please use Tim Crane and his book “The Meaning of Belief”. Please also use Emile Durkheim’s writings on spirituality as a reference . Brent Nongbri’s book “Before Religion” may also be helpful. Maybe incorporate the debate about mysticism and religious experience, and Durkheim’s or Crane’s conception of religion in the paper as well.
