The capstone project is on Growing Minds Academy a private K-12 school making needed overhauls to
instruction and facilities due to COVID19.
To begin the research, a literature review will be performed in order to acquire all the information that has
already been published on schools making overhauls in K-12 instruction for Covid19. This will also help to
identify the different research methods that were previously used by experts in the field with verified and
reliable results.
The methods that will be used include cases studies and interviews.
As a case studies will give an in-depth investigation of the education department, reading prior case studies
important to discover what professionals who authored published work on education overhauls or reform have
analyzed on the topic. In (“Basics of Developing Case Studies”) it is noted that case studies are used to
organize a wide range of information about a case and then analyze the contents by seeking patterns and
themes in the data, and by further analysis through cross comparison with other cases. Reviewing prior case
studies would help to identify what methods have already worked and why they may have been successful.
Interviews will also need to be conducted with experts in education. As experts in the education reform have a
wealth of information on the topic. This will be especially helpful as the project seeks to discover evident as
how to best enhance K-12 education to be better suited to handle COVID-19 impacts or any pandemic.
To examine what this change may resemble, specialists will need to be interviewed to ask them how they
