Case Scenario assessment co-occurring disorder

Choose one of the two Case Scenarios (Doris or June) and read the narrative, then respond to the
following questions. Please do not exceed two (2) pages (12-point font, Times New Roman,
double-spaced) in your total response. Be sure to reference course materials or any outside
sources.

1. What would your initial assessment be of this situation? What are the needs and strengths
   of the client?
2. What other clinical information would you need to find out that is not include in your case
   scenario?
3. What collateral sources would you want to get releases for?
4. What, if any, medical danger(s), do you see or should you consider for either patient?
   Why?
5. What transference and counter-transference issues would you expect to be present in
   working with this client?
6. Finally, based on all the above information. What referrals would you give to the client
   and in what order (could include further assessment, tx services, support services)?
