Choose a president as well as selected roles in order to create case for that presidents’ success or failure in those chosen roles (Chapter 13 Section 1 describes the roles)
Procedure: Students will choose a president (first come first serve) and create a profile of that presidents’ success or failure based on the “Roles of the President” found in Chapter 13 section 1. A description of those roles can be found in your textbook in section 1 of chapter 13. Students can only choose 3 roles from the following: Chief legislator; Chief Diplomat; Chief Citizen; Chief of Party; Commander in Chief.Prove that your president was a success or failure in the chosen roles by providing clear examples of evidence (handling of a crisis, war, the economy, scandals, signing of successful or unsuccessful laws, etc.).
