After reading Ch. 7 and watching the video interview of Carl Rogers, please list and define each of the three core therapeutic conditions (congruence/genuineness, unconditional positive regard, empathy) of person-centered therapy. Which, if any, of the three core conditions stands out to you most?
Do you believe that these three ingredients can promote healing in and of themselves when working with clients who are emotionally hurting? Why or why not?
Lastly, please indicate whether or not any of these core conditions are observable in the ways in which Jesus interacted with people during his life and ministry. If so, which similar qualities did Jesus possess?
