Introduction
Criminal justice leadership research should focus on four areas:
● How criminal justice administrators actually lead their organizations;
● The adoption of contemporary models of leadership offered by organizational behavior theory;
● Use of new methodologies to assess the intricacies associated with the leadership process; and
● A discussion of expectations for criminal justice managers in leadership. (Stojkovic, Kalinich, and Klofas, 2015, pp. 210-211).
Initial Post Instructions
Analyze the limitations of leadership in criminal justice organizations. Do the best individuals become criminal justice administrators or managers? If not, why not? In addition, are many of the problems associated with or attributed to criminal justice leadership really leadership problems? Incorporate academic concepts from the chapter and an outside academic resource.
