Part 2) Consider the many demographic “streets” that lead you to your social location. Pick two
demographic identities, and analyze how your intersectional positionality, along with your
geographical location impacted (and continues to impact) your experience of the COVID-19
pandemic.
Some ways that individuals are socially positioned include:

  1. Gender
  2. Nationality
  3. Marital Status
  4. Race
  5. Household Income
  6. Household Size
  7. Educational Background
  8. Religion
  9. Disability Status
  10. Age
  11. Language Proficiency
  12. Any other social positions that influence the way you experience the world.
Finally, what might have your COVID-19 experience been, if your intersectional identities had
been different? For example, if one reflected on my COVID-19 experience from the intersection
of a working-class, able-bodied person living in Texas, USA, how might their experience been if
they were middle-class and living with a disability (still in Texas, USA)?
